Random thought....Saturday Morning Cartoon

 Random thought....Saturday Morning Cartoon

It's Saturday morning and I had a craving for Strawberry Pop-tarts, so I made four. After popping them in the oven (I don't have a toaster, and really don't the want microwaves in my food), a great idea popped into my head. I thought to myself, "I could make this time like the Saturday morning cartoon situations I so fondly remember as a child!" Since I had not seen it, I decided to watch the final episode of Inspector Gadget. Man was I hype!

After my grand setup for Saturday morning enjoyment and cartoon revelry, I have to say that I am pretty pissed that Penny, Brain, and Inspector Gadget never actually caught Dr. Claw. I mean they played golf with the guy in the presence of the chief, whose self-destructing top secret information was of no use. It's enough to drive a sane person MAD (Pun intended)!

Seriously speaking, a cartoon like Inspector Gadget that has been held in such high esteem should not have ended like that. There are children all over the world (who are adults now) who were just crushed by the ending of last episode. Thankfully, the blow was softened by the final episode's late release. According to Wikipedia   , the cartoon originally ran from 1983 to 1986 and was revived a decade later in the 90's (when most people never expected to see the cartoon again anyway).

Sketch of Karen Klein

Karen Klein's Victory - The Facebook Exchange

Recently I discussed "Karen Klein's victory through a Facebook Exchange" with the owner of a well known website (www.thejapanguy.com). I realized that Donald Ash, the owner, shared the exact same viewpoints about the four middle school boys and their behavior on the bus. We believe kids need to show some damn respect to their elders. To read his opinions, which heavily mirror my own click here --

An Old Looking Baby Drawing

This video post of An Old Looking Baby (photoshop!) is a quick drawing I put together one day when I was bored. I really think there is something to drawing everyday whether or not one feels like it because my skills have really improved! Enjoy!

A Face Lift and the Pillsbury Dough Boy....

Today truly is a new day because, well, yesterday was Friday and today's Saturday (bah-dah ching!). No really, I am excited about my new blog skin (or design, whatever). My posts were long overdue for a webopractic adjustment. The light tan colored background was a bit unsettling to my vision over long periods of time.Thankfully, I have great friends who keep up with my posts and make suggestions (shout out to my girl Ngozi). Keeping things in perspective though, I have a considerable amount of work to do with my pictures, but I am encouraged to do it. When I see the work of other artists and remember where I want my skill level to be, I get right to work. There were two drawings I did in less than a couple of hours for some students of mine. I will post those over the next few days. Until then, I will draw and dream! Take care.

PS The Pillsbury Dough Boy will be one of the drawings.
